The Colorado PUC plays a critical role in Colorado's energy future through regulation of Xcel, the state's largest utility. We provide research and public education on PUC issues such as rate increases to finance coal plant construction, mandates for energy efficiency and renewable energy, transmission infrastructure and other crucial energy planning decisions.
